Michael Chong is the Head of Sustainability Engagement & Partnerships APAC at Neste based in the Singapore office. He graduated from University Putra Malaysia, with a Degree in Agribusiness. He has over 14 years of experience in various Sustainability roles with a major grower Sime Darby, Agribusiness-giant Cargill refiner/trader, and currently with Neste as a buyer/processor of sustainable feedstock. Well versed from upstream to downstream, he is constantly driving sustainability policy development and implementation in the supply chains, supplier engagements, workshops and trainings, as well as transformation on the ground. He manages a wide array of sustainability, traceability, responsible sourcing, smallholder projects and partnerships. He is also a certified lead auditor for ISCC, RSPO P&C and RSPO Supply Chain Certification.
