Ang Chye Kiat

ST Engineering Aerospace


Mr Ang Chye Kiat was appointed Executive Vice President (EVP), Aircraft Maintenance & Modification (AMM), a business cluster of ST Engineering’s Aerospace sector, in July 2010. He is responsible for the group’s global network of airframe facilities and affiliates, and the growth and development of the aerospace sector’s airframe maintenance and modification business.

Mr Ang first joined ST Engineering as a Project Manager in its component repair and overhaul specialist subsidiary, ST Aerospace Systems Pte Ltd, in October 1992. He was involved in the set up of various component test equipment that enhanced the company’s capabilities. In 1994, Mr Ang became Regional Director in US, where he was responsible for developing the Aerospace sector’s American commercial and military component/engine repair and overhaul business.

In 1996, Mr Ang became Vice President/General Manager (VP/GM) of ST Aerospace Systems. During his tenure, he expanded the company’s component repair and overhaul capabilities for commercial aircraft. Mr Ang became Senior Vice President (SVP), Corporate, in November 1999, before assuming the position of SVP of ST Engineering Aerospace’s then Component/Engine Repair & Overhaul (CERO) business division, in November 2001. As SVP of CERO, he provided direction for the development of new service offerings and marketing for the component and engine repair and overhaul businesses. In April 2002, he moved to the US to lead the business of US affiliate VT San Antonio Aerospace (VT SAA) as its President, a role he relinquished in June 2013.

Mr Ang graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 1984 from the Ecole Nationale de l’Aviation Civile, France under the Public Service Commission Scholarship programme. He was conferred Master of Science (Industrial Engineering) in 1988 and Master of Business Administration in 1992 from the National University of Singapore.
