Yasuo YOSHIDA joined Japan Airlines in 1989 and started his career as an aircraft engineer at Narita airport. He has heavy maintenance experience for 747s, 767s and DC10s. He received a 1st class aircraft engineer certificate for 747 classic in 1992. After that, he has worked in the planning department for the most of his career.
He was General Manager, Overseas Aircraft Heavy Maintenance Department (2012 – 2013) in charge of quality and cost control of aircraft heavy maintenance done in Singapore and Xiamen, China. Then, he was General Manager, Narita Aircraft Maintenance Center (2014 – 2015), and General Manager, Haneda Aircraft Maintenance Center (2016 – 2017) in charge of line maintenance and aircraft heavy maintenance in Haneda and Narita respectively.
He is now Board Director of JAL Engineering, Vice President, Maintenance Corporate Planning & Finance Dept. in charge of making and executing the middle term corporate plan and also a director of Japan Aeronautical Engineer’s Association.
