Nur Ashikin is a Head of Continuing Airworthiness for Firefly Airlines, a sister company of Malaysia Airlines Berhad, Malaysia. Holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, she first joined Firefly as a Technical Service Engineer (Avionics) in 2011.
Holding a Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) postholder’s position as Head of Continuing Airworthiness since 2016, she is responsible for the management of continuing airworthiness activities of Firefly aircraft fleet. Specifically, she is responsible to ensure that the organization’s maintenance management working in accordance with Part M requirements, management of continued airworthiness information, management of aircraft maintenance, Engine Management, Aircraft EIS and EOL, and to maintain oversight of technical services, planning & technical records activities.
Apart from the primary responsibility as Head of CAMO, she is actively involved in various Engineering Contracts and Tender projects. She is recently focusing on setting up and expanding Firefly ATR’s MRO capabilities which is evolved from Firefly Airlines’ Engineering & Maintenance Department, which initially focused on supporting the airlines’ AOC.
