Alex Youngs serves as Director of Sales and Marketing Business Intelligence for Airlines & Fleets. As a member of the Sales Leadership Team for StandardAero’s largest division, accounting for over half of the company's revenues, Alex is responsible for leading the organization's marketing and business intelligence activities, including technical marketing, digital marketing and marketing communications. Alex also plays a key role in supporting the company's business development activities, including the pursuit of new platforms/customers and merger and acquisition activity.
Alex joined StandardAero in 2017 through the company's acquisition of Vector Aerospace, having served as Vice President, Strategy & Analysis at Vector since 2013. Prior to this, Alex spent seven years with Airbus Helicopters in a variety of roles, including Head of Marketing Intelligence at the company's headquarters in Marignane, France and Senior Director of Marketing at Airbus Helicopters Inc. in Grand Prairie, TX. Prior to joining Airbus, Alex spent eleven years working for Rolls-Royce, including seven years as Business Development Director for Rolls-Royce Corporation in Indianapolis, IN and four years as Senior Business Analyst for Rolls-Royce Defence in Bristol, UK.
Alex holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Economic History from Southampton University, a Master of Arts degree in Defence and Security Analysis from Lancaster University, and an MBA from Purdue University's Krannert School of Management. Alex was appointed as a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society (FRAeS) in 2008. He is also a Chartered Marketer and a licensed private pilot.
