Norbert Marx, born 1958 and holding a master degree in aeronautical engineering since 1982, has spent his entire professional life in different fields of aviation. He joined Lufthansa in 1989 at their aircraft maintenance base in Hamburg, where he became responsible for its VIP Jet-completion business. From 1994 until 2000 Marx was head of Aircraft Overhaul at AMECO Beijing, being in charge for the first B747 D-Check ever performed in China. In 2001 Marx was named President and CEO of Lufthansa Technik Tulsa in Tulsa, OK, USA and in 2006 he joined Jet Aviation as General Manager of Jet Aviation AG in Basle, Switzerland. In 2010 he moved to Vancouver, Canada as Vice President of Canadian Helicopters CHC/Heli One. Since April 2011 Marx is in charge of GAMECO as their General Manager, a JV of China Southern Airlines and Hutchison Whampoa. With over 5,000 employees, GAMECO provides base-, line- , component and landing gear MRO for today’s Airbus, Boeing and Embraer aircraft. Marx is married and has two children. Sessions
