Kin is the Corporate Planning and Commercial Lead at Evergreen Aviation Technologies Corp. or EGAT. With more than 2+ decades of aviation experience, he has provided oversight to EGAT’s strategy, M&A, sales, marketing, and legal functions since 2008.
He has facilitated in the expansion of EGAT’s customer footprint into the US, Europe, and the Middle East, increasing the sales at EGAT by 3-fold from USD 500 Million in 2011 to USD 1.5 Billion in 2019. To manage the long-term business value protection and sustainability at EGAT, he led the EGAT teams to negotiate business joint ventures, first with GE Aircraft Engines in 2014, and thereafter with Spirit Aerosystems in 2021, as well as a tri-partite heat sink metal coating venture for e-vehicles with Taiwan’s Amulaire and Superior Plating.
In 2004 and again in 2016, he successfully led commercial negotiations with BOEING to position EGAT as a B747-400LCF Dreamlifter Conversion Center and a B767BCF Conversion Center respectively.
Kin’s previous roles at EGAT have included turnkey program management on the Dreamlifter conversion in the Aircraft Modification Division, as well as oversight on aircraft parts and optimization of asset
utilization at the Supply Chain Division.
Besides taking ownership of sales campaigns and in-house feasibility studies, he has been engaged in the deployment of LEAN, and Kaplan’s Balanced Scorecard management methodologies.
Kin holds a Ph.D. in Engineering from Cambridge University, UK. A Commonwealth scholarship holder, Kin was also recipient of the 1988 Mechanical Engineering Gold Medal from the Association of
Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta, Canada.
