Amrul graduated, trained and worked in the UK, prior to starting at PriceWaterhouse (later PwC) Malaysia in advisory and consulting.
He then entered the business world in Corporate Finance before joining the aviation industry managing the business of maintenance technical training for the military and civil aviation. In setting up Malaysia’s first approved training organisation under a new licencing system, he started to focus on process and procedures and quality elements of Parts 66, 147 and 145.
In 2018, Amrul led a dynamic team at Malaysia’s then latest airframe MRO set up for narrow body aircraft. Other than being the Accountable Manager, he implemented a new manpower system for base maintenance capitalising on the Part 66 manpower structure. His natural passion is in people development which is amongst his fondest of topics for discussion.
Post pandemic and after more than 20 years in the industry, he is currently part of PwC’s global aviation network of experts providing various solutions across the whole spectrum of the industry. Amrul regularly speaks at aviation, aircraft maintenance and training conferences bringing both technical and financial aspects into the picture.
