Profile

As Technical Director, Mangesh Thapa is responsible for the airworthiness and maintenance of the fleet of Buddha Air aircrafts comprising of 16 ATR 42/72 aircrafts and around 275 persons. Buddha Air is a private regional airlines operating within Nepal as domestic and some cities in India. Buddha Air have developed in house capabilities for all most all aircraft maintenance requirements, including workshops, metal and composite structure repair, NDT etc.
Mangesh Thapa started as an apprentice technician in year 1993 and is current Technical Director, is graduate in Mechanical Engineering and did MBA to enhance management role also holding current B1 aircraft maintenance licenses and also level III NDT certifying person.
