In September 2021, Gilbert Sim was appointed Director, CORE and Technology of Pratt and Whitney Aftermarket Operations (AMO).
In this role, Gilbert is responsible for leading AMO’s continuous improvement operating system transition from Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) to Customer Oriented Results and Excellence (CORE) and to develop a connected future state organization with a sustainable continuous improvement culture. He is also responsible to lead AMO technology initiatives across AMO
and accelerate performance through developing and deploying Industry 4.0 solutions.
Gilbert brings a wealth of experience in operations management and continuous improvement, most recently serving as the General Manager for Component Aerospace Singapore. Gilbert has been with Pratt and Whitney for over 20 years, serving in progressively responsible roles in Operations, Supply
Chain, Continuous Improvement and Quality. Gilbert is also a graduate of the legacy United Technologies Corporation (UTC) Operations Leadership Program in 2009. Gilbert has a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and a Master’s Degree in Organization Leadership from Monash University.
