Shangari B. Meleschi was appointed as Vice president of Pratt & Whitney’s Aftermarket Operations, Asia Pacific & Turkiye in October 2022. He provides strategic, operational leadership and technological evolution to the aftermarket presence in the region, and maintains oversight of the businesses in New Zealand, Turkey, Singapore, and China.
Shangari is responsible for leading the company's network of 6 large commercial engines maintenance, repair, and overhaul facilities. He is responsible for all of the strategic and operational aspects of Aftermarket Operations for this region servicing PW, IAE, CFMI and Engine Alliance. His organization is currently executing worldwide capacity expansion for PW’s new Geared Turbofan (GTF) engine product line. This expansion includes the innovative network approach with a team of partners, joint ventures, 3rd party service providers along with PW owned service centers from across the globe.
Based in Singapore, he leads over 3,500 employees in the part repair and engine overhaul facilities across these markets. Additionally, Shangari engages with customers and key stakeholders including joint venture partners and the Singapore Economic Development Board.
Shangari started his career at GE Aviation and has over 20 years of aerospace experience in various disciplines including engineering, advanced technology, customer support, quality, supply chain and aftermarket operations. Having progressed through roles of increasing responsibility since joining Pratt & Whitney in 2015, he is a strong advocate of developing talent, as well as fostering a collaborative, engaged and empowered team. Most recently, Shangari held the role of vice president, Repair Operations, North America and Aftermarket repair network and Aftermarket’s digital integration, growth and strategy.
