Capt. Roland started his profession in Philippine Airlines as B747-400 Second Officer in 2000. His dynamic career spans over 24 years in the aviation industry.
In 2013, he moved up as the Chief Pilot for A320 fleet. During this time, he was part of the flight crew for Shepherd One, PR 8010, which carried Pope Francis and his entourage to and from Tacloban City, Philippines.
Five years later, he’s leading the PAL Aviation Training Center as the Director of Training, one of the premier flight schools in the country.
In 2023, he was given a bigger role as the Vice President of Flight Operations Department and soon after, he is tapped to steer the Operations Group, comprised of Flight Operations, Airport Operations, Technical Operations Catering, PATC, and Integrated Operations Control as Officer-in-Charge/SVP.
He graduated from Philippine Military Academy and Philippine Air Force Flying School prior to joining Philippine Airlines.
